For desktop computers we typically need only the tower or CPU unit itself. You will not have to bring your monitor or any cables. We have these items for your convenience and for the simplicity of the services we provide. Certain problems may require other items, but these will be on a case-by-case basis. We will be sure to inform you of additional needed items.
Laptop Computers
We need the laptop and the AC Adapter. We will also need your CD drive if not built in (netbooks, Mac Air).
Printers
We will need the printer, AC cord/adapter and the USB or parallel cables that connect to the printer.
If you think or know that your computer will need a clean install, it is a good idea to bring in a 2-4GB Flash Drive, restore CDs, or driver CD’s that you have. This will only speed up the process in serving you in a timely manner.
Will I need to give you my passwords?
In order for us to accurately diagnose and test your equipment we will need any BIOS or OS passwords that you have set. For OS passwords, we need to be able to access an Administrator account in order to make most changes. If you are having modem problems, we will need your account information to test your modem. It is a good idea to change your password often and definitely after a repair.
Why do you charge for some data backup or transfer?
As hard drive sizes increase and Internet connections get faster, people are storing more and more data on their hard drives. The larger the amount of data, the longer it takes to backup. Some backups can take up to any hour or longer. This can increase the time it takes to repair your equipment and also slows down the process for other customers
Don’t worry, our first priority is backing up your documents and pictures FIRST! We understand that these are the hardest to lose. We do backup data for our customers for Free, up to 200GB. A backup request over 200GB is a additional $30.
It is your responsibility to back up your data often. A CD-RW Drive or External Hard Drive is an inexpensive way to do this. It is always best to have a offsite backup, in case there is damage or failure of hardware. We recommend Dropbox for small amounts of data and Carbonite for large amounts of data.
Can you back up my programs?
Usually the answer to this is no. Most programs store files all over your hard drive making it impossible to find and transfer them all. When a clean installation is necessary, we will install any programs that you bring to us on CD.
Can I call for TIPS or buying options/ideas/input?
Yes, we strive to connect with all of our clients on a personal level. Example: If you are about to purchase a computer and have questions, feel free to call. We know the market well, and can always assist you in saving some money in the short and long term of you purchase.

Yes and Yes! In some cases like hard drive failure/corruption, we will ask your permission to pursue different services. We will compare the prices and services and see what will be the best for you. No matter where we out-source your system issue, we understand that our name is on the line and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We take pride in our meticulous efforts!
